Yael Sherill (1982, Israel) is a freelance curator, cultural manager, and dramaturge working at the intersection of performing and visual arts. In her work, she explores mediation in and as art, with a focus on Public Art. Yael also researches meta-curatorial questions related to alternative organizational and economic structures in the cultural sector. In 2013, Yael founded B_Tour, a nomadic curatorial platform dedicated to guided tours as an artistic strategy in contemporary performance, sound art, and visual art. Within the framework of B_Tour, she curated festivals and individual projects such as "Incoming Stories" (Emigrationsmuseum Gdynia, 2023), "Grande Saison SanuaK" (Kaunas European Capital of Culture, 2022), "Tracks in a Box" (Berlin, CLB Gallery, 2019), "Foothold Festival B_Tours Tel-Aviv / Jaffa / Lod" (2017), "Through Someone Else’s Eyes" (Copenhagen Art Week, 2016), "B_Tours Leipzig – Movement in Urban Space" (2015), "Seeing the city with new eyes - B_Tour Belgrade" (2014), and more. Yael has worked as a dramaturge, project manager, and assistant director on interdisciplinary theater projects by artists such as Omer Krieger (2023), Katharina Haverich (2021), the Center for Political Beauty (2018-2019), and Ilya Khrzhanovsky (2018). She has also moderated and curated panel discussions and conferences on self-organization in art as part of Moneylab Berlin (2021), Performing Arts Program Branchentreff Berlin (2018, 2020), and re:publica19 (2019). In ihrer Arbeit erkundet sie Vermittlung in und als Kunst, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Public Art.
